Housekeeper/Breakfast Assistant wanted for Red Brighton Blue, a high end boutique guest house in Kemptown.  Previous hotel experience is useful but not essential, general attitude and work ethic is more important.

Work requires early starts (8am) during the week and at weekends, preparing and serving breakfast to hotel guests, so good English and good customer service skills are important.  Breakfast duties also include washing up and assisting in the kitchen.

Following breakfast, housekeeping duties include cleaning guest bedrooms and bathrooms and all public areas of the hotel to defined, high standards, which are quality checked daily, as well as assisting with laundry and stock control.

Hours are seasonal and depend on the needs of the business week to week, but are likely to be around 3-6 hours per day and 2-5 days per week, throughout the tourist season ie. until December.  Possible future opportunities through the winter, but if so, hours will be significantly less.

Candidate must be able to demonstrate that they are bright, cheerful, helpful, flexible, able to learn, organised, thorough, good initiative, reliable and punctual.  Candidates must be good at and enjoy cleaning and be good with customers / the public.

A second language eg. Polish, Hungarian, Czech, Spanish, Portugese would be an advantage.

Pay is £9.00 per hour, plus holiday pay, plus pension.  We are a Brighton Living Wage employer, which means we commit to paying a fair 'living' wage to our staff.

Please email your CV with photo, email and mobile number and we will contact you for an interview and trial if suitable.  Please do not phone.
